Regis Philbin remembered by Dave Ward
Longtime TV host Regis Philbin died July 24th at age 88.
“I was fortunate to have the opportunity to interview Regis and Kelly on the set of their show in 2011,” Dave Ward wrote on Facebook. “It was a thrill for me. A day I’ll never forget! Regis commented on my Lucchese boots. He loved them. I offered to send him a pair but he said he wasn’t comfortable in boots. Regis took me to his office, spent time telling me about his awards and mementos, and just chatting. He was as down to earth as one could be. And he gave this news anchor a memory to cherish. RIP my friend.”
