Dave Ward tours President Bush’s funeral train

President George H.W. Bush was born on June 12, 1924 in Milton, Massachusetts. And like most little boys he was fascinated with trains.

At the time trains were the primary mode of transportation in the northeast for passengers and freight.

Presidents throughout the mechanized area made good use of trains to travel. Many presidents have stood on rail cars or have ridden on trains as part of running for office or serving the public.

Now the trains he loves so much, will carry Bush to his final resting place. President George H.W. Bush’s custom-painted train, Bush 4141, will take him on a final ride.

Union Pacific granted us exclusive access to the cars that will be carrying the casket and the Bush family from Houston to College Station. Watch the video for more.
