Dave Ward takes Rockets “First Shot”
Dave Ward was honored to be chosen as the Houston Rocket’s “First Shot” before the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday, February 23rd.
“Laura and I had a great time at the Houston Rockets game tonight,” Dave posted on Facebook. “Thank you, Tilman J. Fertitta.”
This is a new traditions owner Tilman Fertitta implemented after purchasing the Houston NBA franchise.
Other “First Shot” free throwers have included the Astros’ Carlos Correa, Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins and Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles.
Dave played for his beloved wife, Laura’s charity, Houston Children’s Charity.
