2019 Texas Book Festival lineup
On the grounds of the State Capitol in Austin, Texas
Legendary and beloved Channel 13 news anchor, Dave Ward has been selected as a featured author and presenter at the 2019 Texas Book Festival with his memoir, Good Evening, Friends: A Broadcaster Shares His Life (Bright Sky Publishing). Ward will join notable authors such as John Grisham, Malcolm Gladwell, and Chef Sean Brock as featured authors at the two-day event. Held each fall in and around the majestic State Capitol in downtown Austin, the annual Festival Weekend features a rich variety of author presentations and panels, book signings, cooking demonstrations, programs and activities for kids of all ages, food trucks, and exhibiting vendors from across the state and country. While remaining an important showcase for Texas authors, the Texas Book Festival hosts writers from all over the world and is honored to have a national reputation as one of the most prestigious and longest running book festivals in the country. The festival is free and open to the public.
